Step into the future of Thunderbird Springers. This is where we introduce you to the promising young dogs who are currently being evaluated for their potential to become the next generation of our breeding program. Follow their journey as they grow and develop, embodying the qualities we cherish.

The puppies featured here are pups that we have either retained from our own litters or added to our program because they possess qualities we believe may benefit the future of Thunderbird Springers. However, being featured on this page does not guarantee a dog will become a future dam or sire. We intentionally keep and evaluate multiple prospects each year so we can make thoughtful decisions based on each dog's individual strengths and development. Around 6 months of age, we conduct our first major evaluation, assessing temperament, structure, movement, trainability, coat quality, ear set, overall breed type, and how the dog is maturing both physically and mentally.

At this stage, some dogs may be placed in carefully selected pet homes, not because there is anything wrong with them, but because another prospect may better align with our long term goals.

Around 12 months of age, we evaluate again and begin incorporating health testing, pedigree considerations, and program needs into the decision making process. Only after multiple evaluations and satisfactory health clearances will a dog be considered as an active breeding dog.
